01 / The brief

A home to rent in Pune.

The clients approached RAW SQFT looking for a rental home in Pune, with Kothrud as their preferred search area and a monthly rental budget of ₹50,000. Our task was to find a home that met their requirements.

The budget gave the search a starting point. But a property being available did not mean an owner was willing to proceed with the tenancy.

02 / The obstacle

Availability was only part of the problem.

During this particular search, the clients faced repeated refusals. The challenge became finding an owner willing to consider their requirement, alongside identifying an apartment.

This account describes one client's experience. It does not make a claim about all owners in a neighbourhood. Personal circumstances and identifying details have been withheld.

03 / The work

Keep the conversation moving.

RAW SQFT contacted more than 50 brokers and property owners, explained the requirement and the situation, and continued the search through that network. Eventually, we found one owner and an apartment for the clients.

The decisive step was finding a willing owner—not simply another available listing.

The reasoning is straightforward: if an owner will not proceed, a listing cannot become a workable option for that client. Continuing direct conversations created a route beyond the refusals encountered in this search.

The search, in four steps
  1. BriefRental home · ₹50,000 monthly budget
  2. Outreach50+ brokers and owners contacted
  3. MatchA willing owner and an apartment found
  4. Move-inClients moved into the apartment

04 / The outcome

A search that reached move-in.

The clients moved into the apartment. That is the confirmed outcome of this case—not just an enquiry, a shortlist or a viewing.

We have not published the final agreed rent, deposit, apartment size, exact location or search duration. The ₹50,000 figure is the initial monthly budget; it should not be read as the achieved rental price.

05 / What to take away

What this search teaches us.

These are practical lessons from the case, rather than additional claims about the transaction.

  • Check willingness early. A property's availability and an owner's willingness to proceed are separate questions. Clarify both before treating an option as viable.
  • Use conversations to qualify options. A direct discussion of budget, intended occupancy and practical requirements can establish whether further consideration makes sense.
  • Measure progress by workable options. Contact volume describes effort. The useful result is a home the client can actually move into.
  • Keep private details private. A useful account can explain the work and outcome without identifying the people involved.
